We are writing to let you know about Healdsburg Forever’s grantmaking plans for the next six months. The Covid-19 pandemic continues to generate new and unanticipated challenges for our community.
As a result, the Healdsburg Forever board has decided to continue making targeted grants from the Community Impact Fund similar to those announced in February 2021. There will not be an open competitive grants cycle in fall 2021.
Healdsburg Forever will begin to review and prioritize current community needs in November. Selected organizations will be invited to apply for funding in January 2022.
HEALDSBURG FOREVER COMMUNITY IMPACT FUND AWARDS $300,000 IN GRANTS
Healdsburg Forever was founded with the mission of providing a sustainable source of funds that would always be available for the most pressing needs of Healdsburg and Geyserville communities at any given time. The 2019-2020 disasters have had severe repercussions for the most vulnerable in our communities and the impact will be felt for months, if not years, to come. People who live and work here are struggling to afford food and housing, are juggling childcare shortages and home-based learning, and are facing a health crisis unlike anything we have seen before. Helping people through these crises will require support in the Healdsburg and Geyserville communities over the foreseeable future, and it is with this intention that Healdsburg Forever launched the Healdsburg Forever Community Impact Fund in 2020.
As we begin this new year, Healdsburg Forever is proud to deliver $300,000 in much-needed funding to assist the most vulnerable in our communities. We are excited to announce the biggest gift in our grant making history – $125,000 – targeted to support direct financial assistance for those most severely impacted by the pandemic, along with an additional $175,000 in grants to bolster five critical areas of need. Thanks to our caring community of donors, these grants will strengthen the efforts of local nonprofits, allowing them to offer meaningful and innovative solutions to the many challenges faced by our communities as a result of these difficult times.
